The common granulation process of NPK compound fertilizer is: drum granulation, disk granulation, spray granulation, high tower granulation and so on.
High concentration nitro-compound fertilizer was produced by rotating granulation of high tower melt. The technology is to spray nitrate ,phosphorus and potassium melt from the top of the granulation tower, in the process of falling in the tower cooling and agglomeration into granulation, this is also called melt granulation method, in ammonium nitrate production enterprises using high tower melt granulation to produce compound fertilizer has the following advantages:
First, the concentrated solution of ammonium nitrate can be directly used, eliminating the spraying granulation process of ammonium nitrate concentrated solution, as well as the crushing operation of solid ammonium nitrate to make compound fertilizer, simplifying the production process and ensuring the production safety.
Second, the melt spinning granulation process makes full use of the heat energy of ammonium nitrate concentrated solution, the material moisture content is very low, no drying process, greatly saving energy consumption.
Third, it can produce high nitrogen and high concentration compound fertilizer. The particle surface of the product is smooth and round, the qualified rate is very high, not easy to caking, easy to dissolve, which ensures that the product has a strong competitive advantage in quality and cost from the aspect of production technology.
Drum granulation is the most widely used type of compound fertilizer production equipment. Formulation restrictions are relatively small. You can also use part of the pipe spray, part of the ammoniation. Drum granulation production process is favored by many compound fertilizer manufacturers and adopted by more and more compound fertilizer manufacturers because of its relatively small formula restriction, high yield, less investment, short construction cycle and other advantages.
The process principle of disk granulation: all raw materials are mixed into the disk granulation, the disk through rotation to make the material into a ball. Disc granulation is characterized by uniform product particles, simple equipment, less investment, intuitive operation, so it has been widely used in small and medium compound fertilizer manufacturers. The disadvantage is that it is only suitable for small-scale production, low efficiency, and the formula is limited to small viscosity slurry or molten material for granulation.
